I see a growing use of live reinforcement technology – not just recording/archiving/streaming. This includes:

    1. LIVE SOUND REINFORCEMENT (aka audio) which includes the main PA, plus foldback/stage monitors/IEMs
    2. LIVE VIDEO REINFORCEMENT – including presentations/lyrics, video clips & IMAG – Image Magnification – using a video camera to show the pastor on the big screen so everyone can see him better in a larger venue
    3. THEATRICAL LIGHTING (stage, house, backstage, etc.)
    4. CONTROL SYSTEMS (window blinds, etc.)
    5. CCTV & Distributed Audio systems throughout the venue

At CrossWalk we typically have 8 musicians in our band on any given Sunday. We use IEMs (In-Ear Monitors) for 6 of them and floor monitors for the rest. Other than an electronic drum kit, we basically have your typical small-size concert venue setup – anywhere from 200 to 600 people at our events. At this level, professional equipment and trained technicians are indispensible. We are blessed with some great event technicians.

Had another comment about free storage space – dropbox is cross platform and free. Seems to work well. Box.net is great too.
